Location
In the beautiful area of " les dentelles de Montmirail" ( rocky chains of mountains ) , the studio is situated in the tranquil village of La Roque-Alric - zip code 84190 , typical provencal village of 40 inhabitants .
The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur/ Vaucluse region
In the heart of Provence , the Vaucluse is well known for its wine , olive , oil and fruit .
Avignon is the major city and has a cultural historical background . Its called "la cité des Papes" , due to the fact that the popes came from Italy to settle his court there in the renaissance time . The palace of the popes is one of the gorgeous architectural building of Provence . Differents museums can be visited ( from historical one to contemporary one ) .
Every summer there is an important theatre and dance festival .
Further north you will find "Le Mont Ventoux " (1990 meters ) , known by the cyclers and walkers .
"The dentelles of Montmirail" is a chain of mountains very much visited by the climbers ; from the church terrace of la Roque-Alric , you will see the breahtaking panoramic view over the sunset of "the dentelles" ...
Beaumes de Venise area
Beaumes de Venise is famous for his oil and wine muscat . There you will find all shops and bakeries , daily press ans post office.
Carpentras has a beautiful weekly fresh market on friday ( goat cheese from the mountains etc ... ) Many flee market are displayed during summer season . A well known one is in Isle sur la Sorgue every sunday .
For swimming , there is the "Lac du Paty" in Caromb (6km) , rivers nearby Vaison La Romaine , or public swimming pool in Beaumes de Venise . Tennis courts are available in Le Barroux (3km) , horse riding in Malaucène (6km) etc ...

Description of the house
In a private charming house owned by a painter , the studio is at the first floor , south facing with balcony , view on the nearst mountains .
Description of the studio
A one room of 30 square meters , with king size bed , shower room , wc , and kitchenette .
Description of the garden
The garden has a lovely courtyard with an old platanus . Open space one the ground floor with picnic corner , fridge , cooker . Space to store bicycles.
Prices and Availability
Price per day:60 euros
- Bed linen and towels included
- 30 euros cash are requested at the arrival for the cleaning and ironing of the linen
- Caution : 100 euros
- Non smoking house
- No pets
- Car parking at 40 meters ( at the entrance of the village )
To be occasionaly shared : the entry through the courtyard : the owner has her painting studio at the 2nd floor . The garden is for the guests .
Privacy will be respected on both side .
Familial guest table in the village
There is in the village a delicious familial guest table , for reasonable budget , lunch and dinner can be asked on request .
English , dutch , german speaking .
Our advice
This is a perfect place for inspiration ( writer , poet , muscian , artist , and people who look for real nature... walkers , cyclers etc ... ).
It is a little hide away with a lot of charm .
